I am saved by Grace and Grace Alone
Retreat was a blessed time for me. Honestly, I wasn't spiritually ready to lead my group, praise team, and just anything. But God showed me so much mercy and Grace through this retreat. In my relationship with God for these past couple of weeks, I was the only one talking. This means that I was praying to God and having a one way conversation. I didn't really read the bible as much as I was supposed to so I couldn't really listen to what God had to tell me through the bible. But God was so merciful on me. I saw so much of my prayers answered. It was amazing.
Some of the prayer requests that got answered was for the health of the people at retreat. Last year so much people got sick including me and this year, I didn't really see anyone sick. Second was my group's skit. In our first group meeting, we had like no idea of what our skit should be about. So I began to pray about it. In our second meeting, I thought of an idea and we all worked on it together. The outcome of the skit was amazing. We had a great message behind it and we ended up getting third place for skits. Another prayer that got answered was a prayer for some of my brothers. I prayed for them and something good happened to them. There so much more prayers answered. Praise the Lord!
I am thankful for my retreat group. For this retreat, the groups were not planned before the retreat so people were randomly placed into groups by pulling names from a box. This was intense for me. I was worried about the people that was going to be in my group. After the groups were picked, I was just like whatever. My group wasn't that bad or good. I also had doubts but now I can say that I wouldn't want anything different about my group.
Not only, am I thankful for my retreat group, I am also thankful for my cute bible study kids. We got first place in our talent show! We made a music video together and you can see it below.

12/23/08
Today was a good day. I was supposed to get to Alex's house by 9 to buzz his and Donkey Kong's head but I was like 45 minutes late. So I buzzed their hair. Donkey Kong's buzz looked pretty good on him but Alex's made him look like a monkey, Jang Goo, and this guy named Peter Lee combined. After that we just played Rock Band at his house. Then we went to Del Amo to eat and Gung Woozy came later to join us. We ate at Gengis khan and Pink Berry. It was pretty good. After that we just went over to Gung Woozy's house and watched this cute movie called the notebook. This was the most cutest movie I've seen in my life. If you havn't seen it, I recommend that you do. So me, Alex, and Gung Woozy were on one bed watching this love story together. Alex couldn't couldn't even get through the first minute of the movie. He knocked out. I actually stayed awake during the movie. I always knock out whenever I'm at Gung Woozy's house for some reason.
So about the movie. This movie was really good. It was about a guy named Noah and this girl named Ally falling in love with each other. Ally comes to this country town for the summer and Noah falls in love at first sight in a carnival. He asks her out but she refuses him at first. So while Ally is on the farris wheel with this other guy, Noah jumps on to the same seat as her and so the guy who is controlling the farris wheel gets pissed at stops the wheel from turning while they are at their hight point. Noah jumps off of the seat and hangs on a bar as if a person was on a monkey bar. He asks her out again but she says no. Then, he lets go of one hand and his hand starts slipping. Noah asks her out again and she is forced to say yes. They go out and end up falling in DEEP love with each other. Ally's parents don't like the fact that Noah is poor, and uneducated. The time comes when Ally has to move back to new york. Noah wants to just let her go but Ally doesn't want to go. Ally says that she hates him and wants to break up. Noah just bones out but they still LOVE each other. After she leaves, Noah sends her letters everyday for a year. She fails to recieve even one letter because her Mom takes them from the mail box and hides them. 7 years pass. During those 7 years. Ally meets another men and they get engaged and Noah ends up buying his dream house and fixes it up the way that Ally wanted it to be 7 years ago. I want to type this whole moive up but its gonna take me forever so just go watch it for yourselves. The ending was pretty nasty though.

Satisfied in God
"I rejoice greatly in the Lord that at last you have renewed your concern for me. Indeed you have been concerned, but you say you had no opportunity to show it. I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything in him who gives me strength."
- Philippians 4:10-13 -
This passage has been giving me joy and making me humble this week. Paul and Timothy, servants of Jesus Christs writes that they find themselves content in the lord. It amazes me how they can say so boldly that although, they know what it feels like to be hungry and live in want, they rejoice in the Lord no matter what circumstance they're in. This reminds me that God is satisfying and he is all I need. My favorite part of this passage is the last verse where it says, "I can do everything in him who gives me strength." Man, that just gives me like a power up. I just want to keep reminding myself that God holds the UNIVERSE and EVERYONE ON EARTH in the palm of his hands. How can he not be the one thing that I trust and be content in? I hope all of you can find satisfaction in God. I'm praying that you guys do.
Besides that, I'll talk about my day. Well I got many complements as well as many negative complements about my buzz cut. But whatever. I buzzed it again today. It got shorter. UB came over after school. We didn't do much.

Encourage
Man I love seeing that a lot of people is posting up cute messages to their close friends and encouraging them. I see that as a way of worshiping God. It says in the bible to say things that will help build others up. I can see that we are doing it.
"Do not let any unwholesome words come out of your mouths, but ONLY what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen."
- Ephesians 4:29 -
Let's keep up the encouraging but let's not make that the only thing we do when it comes to worshiping. Worshiping is more than just encouraging people. I hope we can just open up our eyes to know God more everyday.

Sunday/My heros
Today is Sunday. I was able to go to church for once with my bro and mom. It's been a while since I went with them after all the discipleship classes and all that. But it wasn't such a good morning for me. I was getting pissed at my brother for some reason. I forgot why though. I was kinda depressed today at church. I don't know why. I just had a whole bunch of weird emotions this morning. It got better as the time went on. I've been getting pissed at everyone and every thing these days. I can't stop blasting on people. I need prayer for this.
I read other people's blog entries and they wrote about their best friends and I feel like doing it too. Honestly, I losing friends these days. I never really encourage others and all that cute stuff so I guess this is a good time to do so.
Gung Woozzy Chun (Kevin)
I met this guy in 7th grade. I remember the first time I talked to him was when I was such a noob at Bert Lynn and didn't know how to get to one of my classes. So I asked him. And he said something in a DEEP voice. I was like, "What the why is this guy's voice so deep?" Later I began to hate this guy and he hated me too. He used to call me baby boy and I got pissed and we almost got in a fight. The funny thing is that he thought he could beat me up. But later through out the year, I rememeber I sat in the same lunch table with him and he was like, "Your name is Andrew right?" and I was like, "Yea." And I think it was good from there. He invited me over to his house one time and I just hung out there. He was the person to invite me to PBC in 7th grade. We became like best friends. My life wouldn't be the same if I never met him. He inspires me a lot. This guy is a great man of God. You inspire me in many ways.
Joel Lee
Haha. He became one of my best friends in 7th grade too. It all started when we both like this one girl together. I didn't know that he liked her too. I can't believe that I started taking advices from him. He told me all his crazy stories and he tried to teach me the lessons he learned from all his failures. Me, Joel, and Kevin became best friends in 7th grade. It was good. I remember we got in a fight one time. We were just messing around with shaving cream and I went to far with it and he got pissed and we started fighting AT CHURCH! But now, we don't even hangout that much besides at church. I love you man. You have pretty fun personality. I love it how you have the heart to help everyone. Thanks for spotting me during homecoming.
UB (Justin Chon)
I met this guy in 7th grade too. We weren't that close back then. I started getting close to him in 8th grade. That was when Kevin went to Korea for surgery and Joel moved to La Cresenta. So I became a pretty lonely guy. Justin became one of those people that I started to hangout with just because I didn't have anyone else. But I'm glad I got to meet this beast. I didn't really like the friendship that we had at first because we were like too nice to each other. We were always like no its ok or like no you can have it. Later throughout the 8th grade year, we became super tight. This guy named Sam joined our crew. The three of us did some gay stuff together. We made stupid videos together and skated together. I remember a time our freshmen year, we got in a fight. This was the first time I saw the UB unleashed to its full potential. I had him in a hold and he was like breathing hard like a beast and I guess charging up his energy. He broke out of my hold and got on top of me and locked me down and was ready to blast me in the face. I seriously couldn't do ANYTHING. There were like tears rolling down his face as he held his fist and he was like, "I'MA KILL THIS GUY!!!" Now hes like one of my best friends. Sometimes we're so close that it seems like we're gay. This guy got freakin good at playing the guitar. I remember when he used to SUCK. Now, he's rockin it during praise. I love this guys heart toward God. Something unique about him is that we was born with a chocolate chip and a couple splashes of jja jjang myun sauce on his face.
Dah Bid Doo Cho
Man I knew this guy from like elementry. We used to go to the same church together. Now we ended up in West and PBC. I started hanging out with him during freshmen year. We played some crazy games together with Justin Yoo, Sam, and other people. It was great. Thats when he became one of my best friends. I remember the days when he used to laugh at like everything I said, but I guess, he became a better comedian than me. I'm am thankful for this guy. He's so funny and has a good heart. I wish I can hangout with you more but I just can't study at borders. It doesn't work for me.
YB and Sizzle
Dude I love these two sexy guys. I don't really show it but I seriously care about these two knuckleheads. YB became one of my best friends during Sophmore year. He went to West end like everyday in the summer before sophmore year and thats when he lost like a crazy amount of weight. That's also when I started getting close to him. We ended up being in the same Algebra 2 honors class. I sat like behind him. I remember the first thing he said when I entered the class was, "You're in this class. I didn't know you were good at math." But he was right. I ended up litterallly failing that class. I thought this guy was gay at first. I thought Justin was gay as in like not cool when I first met him but I thought YB was litteraly GAY. We were playing tennis one time and he was talking about how good looking Justin Chon and Chris Cho was. He even went to the point where we started talking about how good looking their caffs were. I seriously had to make sure that he was not gay by asking him if hes gay or not like 50000 times. We had pretty good times together whether it was studying or even just going gay stuff together. I even wrote songs about him. I don't really hangout with this guy anymore because he got disapointed after I stopped liking Jieun. You are pretty buff now. Keep up the good work!

John Chun
I am so thankful that I got to meet him. I was pretty intimidated by him in the begining becuase he was a pretty thuglife back then. We got really close when we got to be on the same praise team. Man I just love this guys. Hes so funny and I can talk to him about anything. He has a good heart. I'll see you at riverside.
Wilson Chun JDSN
It's a huge blessing to know him. I seriously think that he's the best JDSN that a church can ever have. It's crazy how he was my bible study teacher at first and then he became our JDSN. I remember the good times we had during bible study back then. We never listened to him and he would always tell us to lift up our hair or put our face up and then give us a golden finger. I guess he got tired of teaching us so we made David Chung teach us. If I go into the details of how much of a good person Wilson is, then it would take me forever. I remember in a revival that we had in our church, the guess speaker was was prophesizing about Wilson of how hes an apostle and that he will have a church that has all different kinds of people. Man when I think of it, an apostle is our JDSN. He's just like Paul, Peter, and all those other crazy leader that you can read about in the book of acts. I find that sooo amazing.
Robin Bae
This girl is a pretty fun person to be around with. I got close with her this year when I knew her from freshmen year. Although we went to Knotts scary farm and hung out together sometimes, our relationship got better this year. I remember she used to love my corny jokes so much that she told her friends about it. But I guess she is annoyed of it now. Back then when I asked her if she thinks my jokes are funny, she said "YEAH HAHAHA!". But now its "no". I love it how our conversations while walking to classes are so random but we laugh a lot. I feel like I can just say anything and it will feel right. Sometimes it gets awkward when I say stuff to other people but it doesn't get awkward at all when I talk with her. I like it how Robin is so real. She's so honest about everything and shes tough. One thing that I want to see is her face when she yawns. She always cover it with both her arms. It's been pretty awesome getting to know you.
Jieun Park
We don't hangout anymore but it's been great knowing her. I think how I got to know you was through health and CDRO class during freshmen year. I was a complete clown in those two classes. I think we got super close during sophmore year. Dang we had some pretty cute time together. I wish I can get into details but I don't want other people to read about it. It's pretty embarassing and like WOW when I think about those times now. I don't what happened to us this year. We barely hangout. I hope that we can go on that senior trip that we were talking about.
Jonathan Kim
You are a pretty amazing guy. Man I love you dude. You are like the buffest and oldest one out of our junior crew but yet you're the most childish. I find that freakin cute. I love it how you always plan events such as a barbeque with our future families. We will definately meet up one day with my pretty wife and children and we will have a barbeque together. You are a pretty cool guy I'll treasure the memories we made together.
PBC brothers
I am thankful and blessed to know all of you. I'm glad to have the mush in nun highschool boys and cute middle school kids in my life. I wish I can name all of you but that would take me forever. I'm praying for you guys. Whenever you guys need anything just tell me. I'll always be there for you guys.
Praise Team
I am still amazed at how I am the leader of this team. I seriously grew so much spiritually through this team and I hope that you guys did too. I make a lot of mistakes musically, spiritually, and when I lead this team, but I'm glad you guys never tried to like overthrow me. I'll seriously try harder for this team. I am praying for all of you.
J Yoozzle
Man everytime I think of this guy, it makes me think of a big guy with a big butt who plays crazy butt attacking, forehead flicking games and makes funny/ugly face expression. Man its been a while since I got to hangout with this guy after freshmen year. I remember we used to get pissed at each other after we find out that we took a picture of each other taking a dump. HAHA its was pretty tight. I'm glad you started coming to podowon. It inspires me when I look at the way you are praising God during praise. I seriously see you changing into a man of God. There was never a time when I didn't have fun playing those crazy games with you. I'll remember to check my B.hole twice when I think it's sweating.
Chris Cho
Man I am glad I got to know this guy. I knew him from freshmen year, but I started getting pretty closer to him this year. He probably knows me as a joking around all the time guy, but I hope he gets to know the deep, caring, loving side of me. HAHAHA jk. That was gay. But this guy is one of the best looking guys I know. He's pretty strong too. I love it how on hot days, he asks me if I want a drink from his house. Usually I say no, but he still asks me most of the times I walk him home. It was great playing those intense hand slapping games during 2nd period class with Changski and DK. I can see a pretty wierd future for you. This might be pretty wierd, but I can see you as a party animal getting all the girls when you become in your 20's. Man but we still need to work on getting our license. We'll drive together one day and just hangout once we get everything.

Sometimes it gets awkward when I say stuff to other people but it doesn't get awkward at all when I talk with her. I like it how Robin is so real. She's so honest about everything and shes tough. One thing that I want to see is her face when she yawns. She always cover it with both her arms. It's been pretty awesome getting to know you.

We don't hangout anymore but it's been great knowing her. I think how I got to know you was through health and CDRO class during freshmen year. I was a complete clown in those two classes. I think we got super close during sophmore year. Dang we had some pretty cute time together. I wish I can get into details but I don't want other people to read about it. It's pretty embarassing and like WOW when I think about those times now. I don't what happened to us this year. We barely hangout. I hope that we can go on that senior trip that we were talking about.

You are a pretty amazing guy. Man I love you dude. You are like the buffest and oldest one out of our junior crew but yet you're the most childish. I find that freakin cute. I love it how you always plan events such as a barbeque with our future families. We will definately meet up one day with my pretty wife and children and we will have a barbeque together. You are a pretty cool guy I'll treasure the memories we made together.

I am thankful and blessed to know all of you. I'm glad to have the mush in nun highschool boys and cute middle school kids in my life. I wish I can name all of you but that would take me forever. I am still amazed at how I am the leader of this team. I seriously grew so much spiritually through this team and I hope that you guys did too. I make a lot of mistakes musically, spiritually, and when I lead this team, but I'm glad you guys never tried to like overthrow me. I'll seriously try harder for this team. Man everytime I think of this guy, it makes me think of a big guy with a big butt who plays crazy butt attacking, forehead flicking games and makes funny/ugly face expression. Man its been a while since I got to hangout with this guy after freshmen year. I remember we used to get pissed at each other after we find out that we took a picture of each other taking a dump. HAHA its was pretty tight. I'm glad you started coming to podowon. It inspires me when I look at the way you are praising God during praise. I seriously see you changing into a man of God. There was never a time when I didn't have fun playing those crazy games with you. I'll remember to check my B.hole twice when I think it's sweating.

Man I am glad I got to know this guy. I knew him from freshmen year, but I started getting pretty closer to him this year. He probably knows me as a joking around all the time guy, but I hope he gets to know the deep, caring, loving side of me. HAHAHA jk. That was gay. But this guy is one of the best looking guys I know. He's pretty strong too. I love it how on hot days, he asks me if I want a drink from his house. Usually I say no, but he still asks me most of the times I walk him home. It was great playing those intense hand slapping games during 2nd period class with Changski and DK. I can see a pretty wierd future for you. This might be pretty wierd, but I can see you as a party animal getting all the girls when you become in your 20's. Man but we still need to work on getting our license. We'll drive together one day and just hangout once we get everything.

I'm Lovin it!
Dude I am loving this blogspot thing right now. I've just been surfing around on this and all of the blogs that I read so far talks about how God is working in their life. Dude I am loving this right now. This encourages me to write about my spiritual life on this thing and share it with other.
"They devoted themselves to the teaching of the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he needed. Everyday they continued to gather at the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their numbers daily those who were being saved."

This is a bible passage that my pastor has been sharing a lot recently. He wants our church to be like this and I agree with it. I think before churches have retreats, revivals, and even the regular services, we should have learned how to have fellowship with one another and learn how to LOVE one another. We should just be able to thank God for the things that he is doing and just stay and awe of him. In everything we do, if he is the one that we are focusing on, I believe that the Friday and Sunday services, retreats, and revivals would be ssooooo much more meaningful.
I just feel like this blogspot thing is a good way of sharing our spiritual lives just as the people in this bible passage did.

Koinonia Benefit Concert
We had a benefit concert for the Koinonia organization yesterday. It was a blast. Koinonia is an organization for the orphanage. The amount of people that came out wasn't even close to how much people I thought was going to come. It was basically a Friday service with a couple of college people joining us. I thank God for the things that happened at the event. At first our youth group praise band had technical dificulties with the sound but later it was all good. After we played it was prayer time and then the EM praise band went up to play but the projectors broke! Praise was still good.Kris was shouting the up coming lyrics as Ji Won and Steve were singing. Man it was great to see everyone's heart on fire even with out the lyrics.
I got to talk with my brother, John Chun. It's been a while since we've just shared about what's been going on in our life after he graduated and went to Riverside. It was great being able to talk to him. I always have a good time when I talk with John.
I talked to John about my week and I feel like I have to post it up on here because this was one of my most intense weeks ever. So I suffered with some kind of sickness this week. I don't even know what it is called but it made me take non stop diarrhea. I was going through head aches, body aches, dehydration, and much more. My mom told me that it was indigestion at first, but I don't think it was indigestion. I don't want to get into detail about my diarrhea although I want really want to but I'll just say this; I felt as if there was a tube going directly from my mouth to my b.hole. I lost 5 pounds this week and a whole bunch of muscle along with it. I couldn't eat any solid food so I just drank Gatorade, juice, and water. But the weirdest thing was that was that I didn't take a piss at all when I drank so much liquids. Everything just went through that tube I was talking about. On Thursday, I woke up at like 5:30am to finish up my homework but I couldn't focus because I was too hungry. So I made some Ja pa ge ti. I was scared while was eating this because I wasn't sure if my body could digest this. Later, I took my first "solid" one. I was rejoicing in the restroom. Thank God. I finally had some meat that day for dinner. It was good.
