Retreat was a blessed time for me. Honestly, I wasn't spiritually ready to lead my group, praise team, and just anything. But God showed me so much mercy and Grace through this retreat. In my relationship with God for these past couple of weeks, I was the only one talking. This means that I was praying to God and having a one way conversation. I didn't really read the bible as much as I was supposed to so I couldn't really listen to what God had to tell me through the bible. But God was so merciful on me. I saw so much of my prayers answered. It was amazing.
Some of the prayer requests that got answered was for the health of the people at retreat. Last year so much people got sick including me and this year, I didn't really see anyone sick. Second was my group's skit. In our first group meeting, we had like no idea of what our skit should be about. So I began to pray about it. In our second meeting, I thought of an idea and we all worked on it together. The outcome of the skit was amazing. We had a great message behind it and we ended up getting third place for skits. Another prayer that got answered was a prayer for some of my brothers. I prayed for them and something good happened to them. There so much more prayers answered. Praise the Lord!
I am thankful for my retreat group. For this retreat, the groups were not planned before the retreat so people were randomly placed into groups by pulling names from a box. This was intense for me. I was worried about the people that was going to be in my group. After the groups were picked, I was just like whatever. My group wasn't that bad or good. I also had doubts but now I can say that I wouldn't want anything different about my group.
Not only, am I thankful for my retreat group, I am also thankful for my cute bible study kids. We got first place in our talent show! We made a music video together and you can see it below.
Retreat was a great time overall. It was a lot of fun but spiritual as well.
